Tagline: They needed a common cause… Her heroic stand gave them one.
Plot Outline: Even at an early age, Rosa refused to believe that she was inferior to anyone. As she grew up, Rosa was forced to cope with many degrading and humiliating situations, particularly a failed attempt to register to vote. Years later, in 1955, Rosa Parks created the spark that ignited the modern Civil Rights Movement. After a long days work, she takes the only available seat in the first row of the “colored” section on a bus. When the driver demands that the “black” passengers clear the row for the white woman, Rosa would not comply. This compelling true story demonstrates the power a single act of defiance can have over an ancient tradition of injustice.
WingClips Review: A good film that helps us understand one of the great civil rights advocates in our history, who used her faith in God to make a stand for what was right. Important messages of hope, perseverance, and equality give the film added value.
WingClips Warning: Despite some mild language, this film is very clean. However, some thematic material may be uninteresting to younger viewers.
