Patch Adams is determined to become a medical doctor because he enjoys helping people. Unfortunately, the medical and scientific community does not appreciate his methods of healing the sick, while the actual patients, medical professors, and hospital nurses all appreciate the work he can do, because they are unable to do it.
MPAA: Rated PG-13 for some strong language and crude humor.

I believe that this clip is a parable for Advent. Isaiah laments for a people whose hopes are shattered and tells them to focus on God. Is 64: 1-9. Yet o Lord you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand. Hope for the hopeless. SCN
